ORIGOMU is a demonstration of the extraordinary potential we all have to transform by hand the ugliness of industrial waste into the exquisite beauty of a unique piece. From art exhibits to a design contest Origomu has inspired art and design communities worldwide.

The Origomu collection started with 94 designs, which were presented at:

  • EcoFashion Going Green Exhibition, at The Museum of FIT in New York City
  • Exhibition at the Cirque du Soleil's Ecological VIP Tent, in Montreal, Canada
  • The Laramie Project, in New York City
  • Reuse-Recycle -Repurpose Origomu Exhibition, in New York City.

Also, several fashion editorials have been published with Origomu artwear.

In 2010 we invited the global design community, students and anyone anywhere to participate in our online Origomu design contest, for a chance to win:

1st Prize   $5,000
2nd Prize  $2,000
3rd Prize   $1,000

After 3 rounds of jury deliberation, we have the winners. It hasn’t been an easy task as most of the designs submitted show the amazing talent and inspiration of the artists.

They were chosen based on the contest criteria:
Originality · Six-pack ring transformation · Wearability
